The China Overseas Investment Fair(COIFAIR), which has been organized by China Overseas Development Association(CODA) for 10 consecutive years, is playing an important role in boosting Chinese enterprises to go global and participate the joint-construction on the Belt and Road cooperation.

With ten years exploration, it is now starting a new journey. On the afternoon of July 5th, CODA had a Press Conference in Beijing, which announced the 11th COIFAIR will be held at China National Convention Center in Beijing on 28-29 November 2019. The theme this year will be “Collaborating on High-Quality Construction for Prosperous Belt and Road Development and Foreign Investment”.

It emphasized that the 11th COIFAIR will be the follow-up event of the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, aiming at implementing the consensus reached during BRF. It will not only put forth effort to build the international investment cooperation platform for businesses all over the world, but also encourage countries and regions along BR to accelerate their integration into the global industrial chain, value chain and supply chain, so as to benefit their own people.

The organizer introduced that, member nations, observer states and dialogue partners of Shanghai Cooperation Organization will attend this COIFAIR with various business activities for their first time. For example, forum on SCO Investment and Development will be organized to present and deliver investment and trade information in the sectors of agriculture and finance and so on, which will be one of the highlights of the fair.

The spokesman indicates that the 11th COIFAIR will not only focus on pragmatic cooperation, but also highlight on the guidance of “high quality” development. Concentrated on the joint construction on the BR cooperation, COIFAIR 2019 will also target on hot economic topics, match making meetings between enterprises and projects. High level government officials will be invited to attend opening ceremony and plenary forum to deliver speeches, to introduce investment opportunities, and to communicate with joint consultation and construction of multilateral investment collaboration.
 
The spokesman also states that more than 30 parallel activities will be conducted during the 2 days event, such as “Sino-Russia” Economic Dialogue”, 8 different overseas investment topical forums, 8 industrial cooperation sessions, 8 country promotion seminars, as well as breakfast meetings, receptions, and so on. Meanwhile, in order to continuously strengthen the collaboration with local government, many cities like Panzhou from Guizhou Province will still be invited to conduct the thematic session and set up characteristic stands. It is expected that over 100 countries and 1,000 companies will participate the fair, making good use of the platform to meet up and discuss potential cooperation, with the same objective of collaborating on high-quality construction for prosperous BR development and foreign investment. 

“It is now a new era of exploring new opportunities”. At last, the organizer extended the invitation to all potential participants, calling on gathering together to jointly build the “Double Eleven Carnival (the most popular E-commerce ON SALE Festival in China)” for global investment.
